Karen Hopkins (1949-) an Indie writer on Amazon Kindle, grew up in Martinez, California. At seventeen she moved to Chile. And after completing a university degree in Fashion Merchandising and Spanish she moved to London, England, where she worked for Pan American Airlines spending time in Europe, the Middle East, and India. For twenty-six years Karen taught Spanish and English as a Second Language in Panama, on the Navajo Reservation, in Ticaboo, Utah on Lake Powell, and finally in Arizona.
She and her husband traveled extensively in Mexico and Central America, spending summers in the highlands of Chiapas and Guatemala with their eight children. Karen currently lives and writes from her home in Southern Arizona on the Mexican border.
