Shonto Trading Post

The trees are winter bare, but the little trading post is welcoming. Jewlery, Pendleton blankets, rugs, beads, leather moccasins, groceries and candy bars inside and a gas pump out front. We stop and shop.

We drive into Shonto and through the community around Shonto’s schools. Then we drop down into old Shonto, down into a canyon where we find beautiful cliff walls and the old trading post.
